Terms and Conditions

Gozo Villa Rentals (also mentioned herein as “we” or “us” or“Gozovillarentals.com”) reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions on a periodic basis when necessary. Amendments will be posted on our website. These conditions are subject to acceptance by all in-going tenants and may be amended to suit personal circumstances.

Our Agreement with you

When you secure your booking with Gozovillarentals.com, we will do all we can to ensure that you are happy with your booking and at all times keep you informed of any changes that may occur with your booking

Booking your Accommodation

Once a non refundable deposit payment of 30% or full payment if booked within 8 weeks of travel is made you are entering a binding agreement with us and therefore agree to our terms and conditions as displayed on our website. Upon booking you will receive a confirmation via email detailing the accommodation you have booked and details of when the final balance is due and a booking reference number (should you require confirmation by post please mention at time of booking)  Payments can be made by bank transfer, credit card, debit card, paypal or cheque made payable to Gozo Villa Rentals

Final Balance

The balance for your booking will be due 8 weeks prior to travel, Gozovillarentals will email you a reminder a week before the final balance is due. If you’re final balance is not made by the due date Gozovillarentals reserves the right to cancel you’re booking without further notice.  Payments can be made by bank transfer, credit card or debit card via paypal or cheque made payable to Gozo Villa Rentals

If you change you’re booking

If you are adding people or removing people from your booking there will be no charge for this. If you are changing your accommodation this will be subject to an administration fee which will be provided at the time of your request. If you are changing your travel dates then this will be deemed a cancellation of your booking and therefore will be subject to our cancellation fees

If you cancel you’re booking

If you wish to cancel your booking with Gozovillarentals.com, we will need written confirmation from the person who made the booking either via email or letter. Our cancellation fees are as follows:

More than 55 days – full deposit

28 – 54 days – 50%

0 – 27 days – 100%

If we change you’re booking

In the extremely unlikely event we have to change you’re accommodation, we will endeavour to provide you with a suitable replacement which will be of the same standard to which you have booked. Should we not be able to provide the same standard accommodation that you have booked we will refund any payments that you have made to us

Number of persons using the property

Upon booking with us you must supply us with a list names of who will be staying in the property. The numbers of persons who will be staying in the property must not exceed the maximum you have stated to us at the time of a booking. Gozovillarentals.com reserves the right to ask you to vacate the property if this condition is broken

Subletting

It is not permitted to sublet all or any part of the property to a third party. Gozovillarentals.com reserves the right to ask you to vacate the property if this condition is broken

Pets

Pets are not permitted in our properties without prior agreement

Smoking

Gozovillarentals.com properties operates a strict no smoking policy. You are not permitted to smoke inside your property, should this term be broken we reserve the right to charge you for professional cleaning of the property plus the loss rental days as the property is aired

Behaviour

Should you or any member of your party behave in such a way as to cause or likely to cause danger, upset or distress to any third party or damage to the property, the property owner or Gozovillarentals.com reserve the right to terminate the booking with immediate effect. We will not be liable for any costs you incur in arranging alternative accommodation. No refunds will be paid and we will not be liable for any expenses you may incur  

Security Deposits and Damages

Some of our properties may require a refundable security deposit and or a breakage deposit. If you have not caused any damage or breakages, the security deposit will be refunded to you. When booking with Gozovillarentals.com, you accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you or any member of your party

Checking in & Checking out

The accommodation will normally be ready for check in between 2pm & 3pm on the day of arrival. You will need to vacate the property on the day of departure by 11am. If you do not vacate the accommodation in time, you may be incur a further day’s rental

Liability

The accommodation and any other services offered on gozovillarentals.com belong to and are managed by independent property owners and suppliers. Once your booking is confirmed, gozovillarentals.com will ensure that all parts of the booking which we and/or the property owners and other suppliers have agreed to make, perform or provide as part of your contract are made, performed or provided with reasonable care and skill. However, gozovillarentals.com shall not be responsible for any injury, illness, death, loss, loss of enjoyment, damage, expense, cost or other sum or claim of any description whatsoever which results from any of the following:

a) The fault of the person(s) affected or any member(s) of their party or,

b) The fault of a third party not connected with the provision of your booking which neither, gozovillarentals.com nor the property owner/other supplier (as applicable) could have predicted or avoided,

c) ‘Force majeure’ - in these booking terms and conditions ‘force majeure’ shall mean any event which we, the property owners or other supplier(s) of the service(s) in question could not, even with all due care and diligence, foresee or avoid. Such events may include, but are not limited to; adverse weather conditions, water restrictions, war, threat of war, civil strife, industrial action, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, epidemics, terrorism, Acts of God, closure of ports, governmental action and all other events outside our/their control. We regret that we, the property owners and other service providers cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our respective contractual obligations is prevented or affected by, or you otherwise suffer any damage or loss as a result of ‘force majeure’.

d) gozovillarentals.com cannot accept responsibility for any services which do not form part of your contract. This includes, for example, any additional services or facilities which the property owner/supplier of the services in question agrees to provide for you where the services or facilities are not advertised on our website and we have not agreed to arrange them.

Insurance

You are recommended to take out adequate insurance cover before travelling to Gozo. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance cover that you purchase is adequate for your particular needs gozovillarentals.com shall not be held responsible for any claims arising during your holiday in the Maltese Islands
